A Luzerne County man was jailed following an assault incident in Carbon County.

State police at Fern Ridge said Robert E. Conde, of 248 Stanton St., Wilkes-Barre, was intoxicated and got into a fight with Michael Torres, of 40 Lippo Way, in Penn Forest Township, at the that residence about 5:40 a.m. on Sunday, July 17.Conde allegedly punched Torres in the face with a closed fist. Torres had swelling and bruising to his left eye and facial area, troopers said.Conde was taken into custody and arraigned before a district judge. He was placed in the county prison in Nesquehoning after failing to post $2,500 straight cash bail.
