Residents in the area who basked in balmy temperatures and admired their gardens of Mother's Day were startled this morning when they woke to March-like temperatures and a record snowfall. On Friday, the temperature had risen to 82 degrees. During the night, a bristling arctic air mass pushed down from Canada and sent temperatures plummeting to 32 degrees. Nearly two inches of snow was reported in Coaldale and Summit Hill.
