Thomas J. Gilliland, whose last known permanent address was in Stroudsburg, made himself feel at home after forcibly entering a Tamaqua home Friday morning.

But the bizarre break-in ending up costing him his freedom.Gilliland, 24, is charged with entering a home at 311 Lafayette St. He then cooked himself some pierogies, then took a nap on the couch. The residents found him on the couch at 6:30 Friday morning and called police.Gilliland, who resisted arrest, admitted owning a glass pipe which was found on the kitchen table. It contained marijuana residue,He was arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer on charges of criminal trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple trespass and disorderly conduct.Bail was set at $10,000 with the condition Gilliland furnish the court with a verifiable address. Unable to post the required 10-percent, he was lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison.
