State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on four driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers over the past long holiday weekend.
On Wednesday, Nov. 24, about 10:19 p.m. troopers stopped Brandyn Gatens, 19, of Lehighton, for a traffic violation along Bridge St., in Weissport, Carbon County. Gatens was found to be under the influence and transported to the Palmerton hospital for a blood test. Troopers said Gatens was found to have a small amount of marijuana. Charges will be filed, troopers added.On Thursday, Nov. 25, about 2:05 a.m. troopers stopped David Carl Kreiser, 48, of Kunketown, along Carney Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, for several motor vehicle code violations. Kreiser was found to be under the influence and taken to the barracks for a breath test. Charges will be filed, troopers said.On Saturday, Nov. 27, about 12:55 a.m. troopers stopped Carl N. Gustafson, 39, of Lehighton, along Pohopoco Drive, in the area of Station St., in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for traffic violations. Gustafson was found to be under the influence and taken to the Palmerton hospital for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers said.On Sunday, Nov. 28, about 8:20 p.m. troopers stopped Robert Dreste, 21, of Saylorsburg, along Kunkletown Road at Chestnut Ridge Road, in Eldred Township, Monroe County, for several traffic violations. Dreste was found to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance and had in his possession a controlled substance. Troopers said charges are pending test results.
