A 41-year old man was seriously injured Monday morning when struck by a car operated by his girlfriend in the Holiday Pocono development in Kidder Township, Carbon County. The incident occurred just before noon at 186 Vineland Drive. Radio reports were the female motorist struck the man in the garage area of the home as she apparently placed the car in the wrong gear. He suffered numerous injuries including a head injury. The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Lake Har-mony ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being flown by Penn Star helicopter to a Lehigh Valley area trauma center. Kidder township police are investigating the incident.
