Jim Thorpe School District will hold 2011-2012 kindergarten registration in April for the L.B. Morris and Penn Kidder buildings. The district offers a full day kindergarten experience for its students.

Registration for L.B. Morris will be held on Monday, April 11 and Tuesday, April 12. Registration for the Penn Kidder Campus will held Wednesday, April 13 and Thursday, April 14. Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2011 to be eligible for kindergarten registration. Parents should call the appropriate school office as registration is my appointment only. Registration paperwork will not be accepted from other family members.At that time, the following documents must be presented:* Original birth certificate indicating the child was born on or before Sept. 1, 2006.* Minimum of two documents that prove residence in Jim Thorpe School District (tax receipt, lease, utility bill, or Pa. driver's license). The documents must indicate physical address of the home.* Immunization records.* If applicable, a copy of any custody agreements for the school to keep on file.Parents are asked to not bring their child to registration.Kindergarten readiness testing will take place in June. Parents will be asked to sign up for a testing day and time at registration. A special Kindergarten Orientation Day is planned for August when the students will meet their teachers and tour their school.Any questions regarding kindergarten registration should be directed to the L.B.
