One person was injured Thursday morning when involved in a single vehicle crash along SR309, near Owl Creek Road, in Tamaqua. The crash occurred just before 11 a.m. as Michael Brunda of 105 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, was traveling south and apparently lost control of his car. The Ford Focus crossed all four lanes of the roadway entering a dirt lot and impacting with a tree, then rolled onto its roof. Brunda was transported by Tamaqua ambulance to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital in Coaldale. Borough police are investigating the incident. Chief Dave Mattson examines the wreckage.
