Nesquehoning alumni donates to school

The Nesquehoning Alumni Committee recently disbanded, leaving a legacy of not only good memories but $2,491.68. The group has been active since 1983. They decided to give that amount to the Panther Valley School District to do with it as they see fit. Seated from the left are committee members Elizabeth (Choley) Mikovich, Victor Pituch, Joyce (McMonigal) Bond, and Jean (Bales) Mikovich. Missing from the group is Esther (Hrapsky) Dunstan and standing in back is PVSD superintendent Rosemary Porembo. Porembo stated that the reunion committee has kept the spirit of the PVSD alive and commended them on feeling the importance of contributing the balance to the school ditrict. "This is the end of the reunions", said Pituch. The historical pictures gathered will be presented to the Panther Valley High School Library.
