Pocono Mountain Regional police are investigating the theft of about 500 gallons of diesel fuel from a Monroe County business.

Police said the fuel was siphoned from fuel tanks of several trucks and pieces of heavy equipment of the Kolbalt Construction Company, and parked along Development Park Drive, in Pocono Summit.The fuel theft was discovered at 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, and occurred sometime over the holiday weekend. The value of the fuel taken was set at about $2,000.
