A fight at the Pine Street Pub in Tamaqua on June 6 landed one man in jail.
Patrolman Brigdon Odhner was dispatched to the pub at 5:16 p.m. that day for a reported fight in progress. At the scene, he was met by the victim, Bryan Hosler, who stated he had been assaulted by Levi G. Warren, 31, of 616 Old 209 Road, Tamaqua. Warren reportedly entered the bar and punched Hosler twice in the face before leaving.Warren had left the scene, but was located within minutes on Washington Street. When questioned, he admitted striking Hosler because of negative comments the victim allegedly made regarding Warren's daughter about two weeks earlier.According to police reports, this was the second time Warren has confronted Hosler. The first incident occurred May 15 and resulted in a broken nose for the victim. Warren's preliminary hearing for that offense is scheduled for July 22.This time, Hosler was arraigned before duty District Judge James Reilly, who set bail at $15,000.
