A Monroe County man is facing several criminal charges following an incident that was reported at 8:18 p.m. on May 22.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said at the time and date stated officers met with Candice Nichols, 30, of Wilkes-Barre, in the area of 206 Forest Hill Drive, Briar Crest Woods development, in Blakeslee. She told them she was at that address to give an in-home massage to Allan Kides, 49, of that address.She said Kides got mad when she would not provide him with sex. Nichols left the home and Kides followed her and blocked her vehicle with his vehicle. During the confrontation, Nichols said, Kides took her cellphone. Kides was contacted by police and they recovered the cellphone from him.Kides was then arrested on a warrant and charged with robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, and solicitation for prostitution. Police said during the arrest Kides stated that he was the "true" victim because the "prostitute" did not give him sex for the money he paid.
