State police at Frackville are investigating a rock throwing incident in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Raymond Ebersol Jr., 48, of Paxinos, Northumberland County, was driving a 2004 Kenworth tractor with trailer northbound on Route 924 in West Mahanoy Township, about 1:30 a.m. this morning when a person ran onto the road waiving his arms in an attempt to get Ebersol to slow down. Ebersol slowed down when his tractor was struck by two rocks which damaged the passenger side windshield and passenger side sleeper window, causing an estimated $700 in damages.The suspects then fled east into a wooded area operating all-terrain vehicles.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
