Two Parkland High School students have been arrested for allegedly making threats against the school, according to a news release put out by the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office on Monday.
The students, both age 15, have not been identified because they are under 18.
There is no longer any known or suspected threat to Parkland High School, according to officials.
On Monday, Dec. 4, Parkland High School officials became aware that the two students planned “possible threatening action” against the school sometime before the Christmas break.
The school passed along the information to South Whitehall Police, who conducted an investigation. The District Attorney’s office and Allentown office of the FBI also assisted.
As a result of their investigation, the two students were arrested Wednesday, Dec. 6, and face charges in juvenile court.
They are both scheduled for a hearing in juvenile court in Lehigh County on Thursday.
The District Attorney’s office said no further information will be provided.
