Dylan Penny of Effort was arraigned Thursday by District Magistrate Ed Lewis of Jim Thorpe for charges stemming from an attempted firearm purchase at the Mahoning Township Walmart on Nov. 25, 2013.

Penny has been charged with a felony in the purchase attempt, as well as falsifying information to authorities.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 24.
