At least 500 PPL Electric Utilities customers were without power as of noon Friday following an outage that affected 2,100.
Reports of power outages from Harvard Avenue to East Princeton to Delaware started rolling in around 10 a.m., according to the borough office, which was also without power for a few minutes that morning.
The cause of the outage was either a tripped breaker or blown fuse, the PPL Outage Center reported.
Carol Obando-Derstine, a PPL regional affairs director, said of the 2,100 customers left without power Friday morning, 1,600 had theirs restored within minutes.
Crews were on location in the afternoon, she added, and power was restored to the remaining customers within a few hours.
