A 17-year-old Coaldale male has been charged with simple assault and harassment after a "game" he was playing became boring.
Police were called to the 100 block of Miner Street at 1:37 a.m. on Oct. 18, after a juvenile male banged on a resident's door, looking for a ride to Tamaqua. The teen had bruises and blood on his face.He told officers he had been walking with some friends when he was attacked in an area to the rear of the hospital. The victim did not know his assailant's name, just a nickname.After an investigation officers were able to identify the other teen. He told officers the guys were playing a game, where they were throwing punches at each other's faces without making contact. When the game began to annoy him, he punched the other male in the face three or four times. He then walked home.He was charged with simple assault and harassment.
