No one was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 3 p.m. Dec. 15 on the Wilkes-Barre Turnpike, Old Route 115, in Ross Township.
State police at the Lehighton said the crash occurred when a 2002 Ford F-150 driven by Michael J. Sottile, 17, of Saylorsburg, was leaving the parking lot of a gas station when the driver failed to yield the right of way to a northbound 2008 Subaru Forester operated by Laura E. Raffaele, 20, also of Saylorsburg.Police said the right front of the Subaru struck the left rear side of the F-150 and then traveled onto the west side of Wilkes-Barre Turnpike, where it struck a traffic speed limit sign.Police said Sottile will be cited under a section of the Motor Vehicle Code that deals with a vehicle turning left.
