Nesquehoning police report on arrests

Nesquehoning police reported on the following arrests.

On Dec. 29 at 8:41 p.m. Officer Carl Breiner responded to the unit block of East Catawissa Street for a report of a disturbance. On scene Breiner found Jeremy Ronco, of 329 E. Catawissa St., in a highly intoxicated condition and creating a disturbance. He was placed under arrest and taken back to his residence.Breiner charged Ronco with public drunkenness.On Friday at 6:03 p.m. Chief Sean Smith was dispatched to a reported accident along Route 93 at the entrance to the Carbon County Correctional Facility.On scene Smith learned that Brian G. Jordan, of Raleigh, North Carolina, was driving northbound in a 2006 Toyota Sienna and attempted to pass a Pitt Ohio Express box truck in a no-passing zone. As he attempted to pass he was confronted by another vehicle traveling southbound. Jordan cut back into the right lane and struck the truck. There were no injuries.Smith charged Jordan with passing in a no-passing zone and expired registration.On Saturday Smith issued four speeding tickets at Oak and Catawissa streets, a 25 mph zone. Three were cited for 43 mph and one for 44 mph in the 25 zone.
