By now, pupils at St. John Neumann Regional School's Slatington campus ought to have the number 100 down to a science.Kindergartners and first graders recently celebrated 100 days of school through a variety of activities.Such examples included Mrs. Hartz's kindergarten class, which wore 100 days of kindergarten T-shirts. They were then joined by the first grade, as they listened to a story about the 100th day of school.As part of the activities, the pupils counted to 100 by ones, twos, fives and tens, and also read 100 words.Other uses of the number 100 were illustrated by the number of times the pupils clapped; hopped; screamed; were quiet for; danced; all in seconds.In addition, they took 100 steps, and made a 100 Day Chain with 100 stamps.The school observed Catholic Schools Week 2013 at both campuses last week.
