The Rev. Jeffrey Stansbury, pastor at Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church in Lehighton, was ordained at First Church of Palmyra on Jan. 28.

The Rev. Charles Walker was host pastor. The message was given by Dr. Kenneth Miller of Rothsville St. Paul’s Church. Bishop Bruce Hill and the Rev. Jeff Byerly presided.

Other participants were Dr. Paul Miller; United Brethren in Christ pastors, the Rev. Ron Cook and the Rev. Stuart Johns; and Jim Roberts of Christian Residential Opportunities and Social Services.

Music was provided by Rev. Rob Valentine and Palmyra’s praise band; organist, Gloria Smith; and the Stansbury children, Janae, Jeremy and Jason.

The event was attended by Pastor Stansbury’s wife Vickie, family members, Bethany E C parishioners and friends.
