A Monroe County man is facing a charge of aggravated assault and other counts following an incident that occurred just after 4 p.m. March 6.
Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to 1679 Cotswald Road in Pocono Farms East, Tobyhanna, for a report of a incident involving a knife.On scene police learned from the victim and several witnesses that Michael Seidman, 67, of that address, got into an argument with his girlfriend after he began choking their small dog.When the girlfriend's son tried to break up the altercation Seidman threatened to kill and stab the son.Seidman then picked up a steak knife and advanced towards the son with the knife held over his head. Police said the victim was able to narrowly miss being stabbed when witnesses blocked Seidman and pulled the victim out of the way.Seidman was charged with aggravated and simple assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, harassment and cruelty to animals. He was arraigned on the charges and later released on bail.
