One-vehicle crash in Nesquehoning

An Albrightsville man escaped injury after he crashed his vehicle in Nesquehoning.

On April 8, at approximately 3:55 p.m., Nesquehoning Police were dispatched to a single vehicle crash regarding a utility poll in the area of 153 Stock Street.

Upon arrival, police found a silver Subaru Forester lying on its drivers side. A nearby PPL pole was completely sheered in half.

Police located the driver, who was identified as Charles Troman of Albrightsville standing along the side of the roadway.

He told police he was on his way home from work and fell asleep prior to striking the pole.

Troman was evaluated by Nesquehoning BLS and refused treatment.

Police also learned that Troman’s license was under suspension at the time of the accident. Nesquehoning and Hauto fire companies responded to assist on the scene.

Marouchoc’s Auto towed the vehicle. PPL was also dispatched to replace the damaged pole. Nesquehoning police will be filing multiple citations against Troman for the crash.
