State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on two crashes investigated by troopers over the past weekend.
A two-vehicle crash was reported at 10:20 a.m. Friday along Zerbe Street in Cressona borough. Troopers said a 17-year-old male from Orwigsburg was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Impala northbound, just south of Graeff Street, and negotiating a left hand curve while Dolores D. Adams, 83, of Pottsville, driving a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier, was southbound, and negotiating a right-hand curve.Troopers said the teen drove into the southbound lane and his vehicle collided with Adams' vehicle. Both vehicles came to rest at the point of impact with moderate damages. The Impala was driven from the scene but the Cavalier had to be towed.Adams sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene. Troopers said the teen was cited for the crash.A two-vehicle crash occurred at 5:37 p.m. Sunday along Route 183 (Pottsville Street), also in Cressona. Troopers said Julie A. Barket, 51, of Orwigsburg, driving a 2013 Dodge Journey, was stopped in the northbound lane. Her vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Michelle A. Schulze, 48, of Pottsville.No one was injured. Troopers cited Schulze for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
