Lansford police charged a borough woman with assaulting her boyfriend.
Nicole Butrie, 41, faces two counts of simple assault, resisting arrest, and harassment.According to a report released on Monday, here's what happened:At 1:23 p.m. July 5, a man came to the police station and told patrolman Shawn Nunemacher he was trying to leave the house when Butrie jumped on his back, scratched and pushed him. Nunemacher saw red scratch marks on the man's neck and chest, and his necklace was broken. The man said Butrie became irate and threw his belongings, including a television set, off the dresser, and had cut her hand while doing so.He said she wouldn't let him leave.Nunemacher went with the man to the house on West Bertsch Street. As soon as the door opened, Butrie began to yell and scream. She slammed the door and opened it again. Nunemacher told her to calm down and stop yelling. He saw that she had no marks on her. She continue to yell and scream at the man.Nunemacher told her he was charging her with domestic violence. She said, "No, I'm calling my Mom."Nunemacher grabbed her by her wrist and she tried to pull away. He told her she could not call her parents because she was under arrest. She again pulled away, and Nunemacher had to use substantial force to bring her arm back and be handcuffed.He took Butrie to the police station and gave her her Miranda warnings. She agreed to waive them and speak with police.Butrie admitted to fighting with her boyfriend, and may have scratched his neck. She also admitted to throwing his belongings from the dresser.Butrie told Nunemacher that her boyfriend did not strike her, but that he did push her.
