A Tamaqua man faces charges after he was found unconscious on Sept. 28.

Police received a report of a man who was passed out on the ground behind the Wells Fargo Bank at 2:40 a.m. They found Derrick Lutz, 50, of 323 W. Broad St. When officers were unable to wake Lutz, they called for an ambulance. Lutz came to and became uncooperative as he was being loaded into the ambulance. He was transported to St. Luke's Hospital-Miners Campus in Coaldale.He faces charges of public drunkenness.
