Four people were injured in a three-vehicle, rear-end crash that occurred at 1:22 p.m. Oct. 23 along Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.
State police at Fern Ridge said a 2007 Subaru Outback operated by Joann Izzo, 52, of Kunkletown, rear-ended a 2013 Ford Escape driven by Kelly M. Collins, 45, of Effort, pushing it into the rear of a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant operated by Robert H. Hunsberger, 84, of Bethlehem.Izzo; her passenger Josephine C. Favorule, 86, of Kresgeville; Collins; and her passenger, Alex C. Collins, 16, of Effort; were all injured and taken to Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg by West End ambulance. Neither Hunsberger nor his passengers, Joan L. Stenger, 74, and Lillian Hunsberger, 82, both of Bethlehem, were injured.Troopers cited Izzo for following too closely.
