A Carbon County driver has been cited following a traffic stop in Lehigh County.

Upper Macungie Township police said Alex Rehrig, 27, of Lehighton, was stopped about 9:26 a.m. on Dec. 10 at the intersection of Nestle Way at Schantz Road, in Breinigsville, for failing to stop for a red traffic signal. During the stop it was learned that Rehrig was required to have a ignition interlock device on his vehicle for a driving under the influence conviction. Rehrig did not have the device and was charged with that offense and the red signal light violation.
