A Summit Hill woman is facing charges in Nesquehoning after she nearly struck an ambulance.

According to borough police Chief Sean Smith, Jane Kubichko, 54, of 45 E. Hazard St., was driving along West Catawissa Street on Jan. 14 when she nearly struck an ambulance in the area of Turkey Hill.Smith caught up to Kubichko's vehicle, which was stopped in the middle of the road near Andrewsville.She was transported to St. Luke's Hospital-Miners Campus in Coaldale for a blood test on suspicion of driving under the influence.Charges are pending blood test results.
