An incident at a Schuylkill County bank is being investigated.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said an unknown male attempted to gain entry to the Gratz Bank, located at 1625 W. Main St., Valley View, about 10 a.m. Thursday. Troopers said the male was wearing yellow gloves and a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and covering his face. The male fled the scene after an unsuccessful attempt to enter the building through a side door.The male ran behind several houses and entered a silver/gray Pontiac G6 sedan and drove away. The vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on Main Street and was seen a short time later on Fearnot Road in Hubley Township.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-739-1330.
