State police at the Lehighton barracks reported an 18-year-old Palmerton woman will be cited for drug possession as a result of a traffic stop at 1:55 a.m. Tuesdayin the area of the Fireline and Sand Quarry roads in Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said she was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for motor vehicle code violations, when police found her to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
