The Democrats of the West End will hold a special pre-election meeting on Oct. 25 at the firehouse on Route 715 in Brodheadsville.

Candidates Tarah Probst, running for the Pennsylvania Senate, and Claudette Williams, running for the 115th District seat in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, will be available for a question-and-answer session.

Also attending will be Eldred Township Supervisor Mary Anne Clausen to discuss the sludge issue currently being debated in Eldred.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m., with soup, hot dogs and dessert available for a $2 donation.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
