Break-in, mischief incidents probed

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a burglary and two acts of criminal mischief.

The break-in occurred at the residence of Margaret Shinsec, 64, of Station St., Lehighton, Towamensing Township. Sometime between Saturday, Oct. 16, and Monday, criminals entered the home and removed cash and jewelry.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call crime stoppers at 1-800-4PATIPS.The two criminal mischiefs included:John Hoag, 71, of Forest St., Penn Forest Township, reported someone threw a rock through his bedroom window. The incident occurred about 7:45 p.m on Sunday, Oct. 17.Charles F. Onesti, 56, of Havertown, reported someone attempted to enter his property at 29 Jonas St., Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County, by prying open a door causing damages to the door. The incident occurred sometime between Aug. 8 and Saturday, Oct. 16.
