Two arrested for indecent assault

Two men have been arrested on charges of indecent assault and related offenses for two separate incidents occurring in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Mark Goddard, 30, of Tobyhanna, turned himself into police on Tuesday, Oct. 19. Goddard is charged with indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of a minor. He was charged for an incident involving a 13-year-old girl. Goddard allegedly was observed in a public place touching and kissing the girl in an inappropriate/sexual manner. After the incident Goddard went to North Carolina, but returned this week.He was arraigned before District Judge Anthony D. Fluegel, of Tobyhanna, and released on $10,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 29 at 10:30 a.m. before Fluegel.Police also reported the arrest of Ramon Nunez, 45, of Tobyhanna, on Monday, Oct. 18, for indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of a minor. Nunez also has an active warrant for his arrest on similar charges, police said.Nunez is accused of inappropriately touching and kissing of a nine-year-old girl during the past summer.He was arraigned before District Judge Richard S. Claypool, of Pocono Pines. He could not post the $10,000 bail set and was committed to the county prison in Snydersville. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 22 at 10 a.m.
