The Delaware River Shad Fisherman’s Association and Blue Mountain Fish and Game Club will hold their 12th annual Youth Outdoor Adventures from 7 a.m to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, rain or shine. The event will take place at 4190 Wood Drive, Walnutport.

Parents are encouraged to accompany their children, but supervision is not mandatory. Everyone will be assigned to a group and a group leader. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all who attend. Registration is limited to 100, but is required. Students ages 8 through 15 can register online at www.drsfa.org.

This event includes trophies for the fishing contest, door prizes, involvement with wildlife, and learning how to protect and preserve our world. Participants will receive a T-shirt and hat. Other activities include wilderness survival, canoe safety, invasive plants, archery, fishing, first aid, trapping, habitat building, casting and a BB gun range.
