A traffic stop in Mahoning Township has led to the discovery of a DUI suspension.
Township Police said that at 11:50 p.m. Oct. 7, a vehicle was stopped on Packerton Dam Drive for a traffic violation in an area where two recent burglaries were reported.During the stop, police seized a fraudulent/altered inspection sticker, and an altered registration plate.The driver of the vehicle, Lawney Strohl, 46, of Lehighton, has been charged with four counts of altered, forged, or counterfeit documents and plates, a misdemeanor; fraudulent use or removal of a registration plate, a summary offense; driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked-DUI related, a misdemeanor; registration and certificate of title required, a summary offense; operation without an official certificate of inspection, a summary offense; and required financial responsibility, a summary offense.A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 2.
