State police at Fogelsville are investigating a criminal mischief incident involving a Slatington resident.

Troopers said the 2009 Ford Fusion of Andrew Brennan, 6000 block of Church Rd., was damaged by someone who attempted to gain entry to the vehicle. The criminals broke the driver's side door lock and the lock to the trunk of the vehicle but did not gain entry.The car was parked at the Appalachian Trail parking lot off SR309, a half-mile north of Gun Club Rd., in Lynn Township. The incident occurred sometime between 2 and 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 26.
