One man is fighting for his life today after being involved in a violent one car crash along the Burma Road in Ryan Township. The crash occurred about 11:30 a.m. as he was driving west in an apparent high rate of speed. His late model Pontiac sedan left the right berm apparently on its side impacting with a tree at the roof of the unit. The car climbed the tree about 20 feet before falling to the ground on its side. The victim was trapped inside the wreckage for about two hours. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and flown by MedEvac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Trauma Center in Allentown. The roadway was closed for several hours. Ryan township police are investigating the incident.
