Two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests were reported in Monroe County.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 2:27 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 13, officers made a vehicle stop along SR611 near Clear Run Elementary School for several vehicle code violations. The driver was identified as Linda Zagorski, 59, of Old Forge, Luzerne County. She was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. She was then taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.On Thursday, Sept. 16, about 2:14 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle along SR196 in the area of Carriage Square after it almost struck the patrol unit. Police followed the car for a time and observed it being driven erratically.A traffic stop was made and the driver was identified as Lakecia Hunter, 34, of Tobyhanna. She was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. She was then taken to PMC for a blood test. She will be charged with DUI and several vehicle code violations, police said.
