Vesper service

The Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network will hold a Vesper Service at the West End Fair on Sunday, Aug. 25 at 5 p.m. St. Matthew's UCC's Wanda Murphy Smith is this year's coordinator and several of its members will be participating in the service, which will include a skit "Sunday Dinner," and it will feature a blue grass band and a gospel singing group.PVEN needsPVEN has put out a call for school supplies (pencils, notebook paper, pens, composition books, back packs) and macaroni and cheese and boxed cereals, and any non-perishable food items you would care to donate. Donations can be dropped off at St. Matthew's during office hours of Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and Sundays from 8-11 a.m.Exercising seniorsThere is a low-impact exercise class for those over 55 at the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Company every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-10 a.m.
