Catrina Strubinger of Lehighton graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations on May 11 from Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.

While at Rider, Strubinger was a two-year captain of the division 1 cheerleading team. In addition, she interned at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Resound Marketing.

Strubinger is starting her career at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia as a stewardship coordinator in the Office of Institutional Advancement.

She will continue her education at Rider to earn her Master of Arts in business communication.

A 2014 graduate of Lehighton Area High School, Strubinger is the daughter of attorney Gerald and Carolyn Strubinger of Lehighton, granddaughter of Gerald and Karen Strubinger of Jim Thorpe and Caroline Chwieroth of Philadelphia.
