September 9, 1989 Tod Young rushes for 113 yards and two touchdowns while Tony Fristick throws for 154 yards to help Northwestern roll to a 35-3 victory over Kutztown. Fristick completes only 4-of-9 passes but two of them are scoring tosses both to Jason Minnich. One of the TD passes goes for 61 yards while the other is a 27-yard strike. Young reaches the end zone on runs of 10 and 4 yards. The Tigers, coached by Bob Mitchell, also receive a 20-yard TD run from Jason Zimmerman.
