The victim of a fatal crash that occurred early Sunday morning in Schuylkill County has been identified.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Eric Wurst, 49, of Palo Alto, died in the crash that occurred at 2:35 a.m. along Route 183 in Wayne Township. Troopers said Wurst lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions.

His Dodge pickup went off the road and struck a culvert and then overturned. Wurst died of multiple blunt force trauma to the head.
