Jill Mermon, 14, of Lehighton R. 2, and Kenny Krum, 13, of Lehighton R. 1, will represent Lehighton in the State Hula-Hoop Finals scheduled for Philadelphia on Aug. 1. Mermon and Krum emerged as the champions during competition in the 12-to-15 year old age group, according to George Babyar, Lehighton Area Recreation Commission director. Other winners were Sandy L. Binder, 10, of Lehighton R. 2, and Daniel C. Finney, 10, of Lehighton, both first in the event for children 11 and younger.
