Mr. and Mrs. Willard Dunbar of Palmerton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on July 9, 1960 at St. John's Episcopal Church of Palmerton.Mrs. Dunbar is the former Joanne Smith, daughter of the late Raymond and Lena (McFarland) Smith of Bowmanstown.Mr. Dunbar is the son of the late Melvin and Ida (Hamm) Dunbar of Lehighton.The Dunbars have three children, Glenn Dunbar of Weatherly; Ruth Kresge of Palmerton; and Tammy Kormann, wife of Frank Kormann of Lehighton.They have seven grandchildren: Desiree (Dunbar) Nicholson, wife of Todd Nicholson of Jim Thorpe; Charles Kresge of Slatington; Danielle and Dana Dunbar of Jim Thorpe; Dustin Frable of Palmerton; and twin girls, Kayla and Erika Kormann of Lehighton. They also have one great-grandson.A party was held on July 10, at the Palmerton Rod and Gun Club, and hosted by their family.
