State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on the following incidents.

• Police are investigating a theft that happened between midnight Dec. 23 and midnight Dec. 24 at Blue Ridge and Weir Lake roads in Ross Township. Police said someone took mail from several mailboxes in that area and scattered it on the roadway.

• A criminal mischief incident was reported at 6:22 p.m. Jan. 15 in the 1100 block of Dinkey Road, East Penn Township. Police said the victims, a 66-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man, both from Lehighton, reported someone threw a rock through the front door windows of their residence.

• State police responded to a report of someone having been out of control and learned that a woman was possibly withdrawing from a controlled substance and in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia. Kristie M. Wheaton of Polk Township was charged after the incident at 6:16 p.m. Jan. 9 at 3511 Sunset Circle, Polk Township. She was transported by ambulance to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a mental health evaluation.
