Penn’s Peak addresses Dark Star performance

A Dark Star Orchestra performance was cut short Wednesday night at Penn’s Peak.

The venue released a statement Tuesday addressing the situation.

“Due to circumstances beyond the control of the Penn’s Peak or Dark Star Orchestra, the DSO performance on Nov. 21 was shortened by approximately 30 minutes. Three patrons passed out within a 15-minute period during the second half of the show. Penn’s Peak security called 911 and three ambulances and the Pennsylvania State Police arrived. Each of the patrons revived and declined transport to a hospital. After consultation with the paramedics and the police, the band was asked to conclude the performance. Speculation abounds on social media as to the cause of the sickness, but at this time it is unknown.”

The statement has also been posted on the Penn’s Peak Facebook page.
