The Franklin Township Hurricanes and Franklin Township Shockers patiently waited out two rain delays before the umpires called the game, which was tied 5-5 in the bottom of the fifth, officially due to several rain showers throughout their Keystone Senior Babe Ruth game last night.
With one out, and a 3-0 count on the Shockers' Donovan Buchinsky, the umpires called the Hurricanes off the field yet again due to another passing shower. Once the rain settled down, the umpires decided to call the game and have it continued another night due to poor field conditions. The Hurricanes were able to jump out first and build themselves a 3-0 lead with single runs across the first three innings. The Shockers answered with two runs in the bottom of the third to cut the lead to one.The Shockers added three more runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 5-3 lead. But, that didn't last long as the Hurricanes tied the game in the top of the fifth. The game will be continued on June 28 at 6 p.m. The two teams will play a doubleheader. The two local teams will finish the suspended game first and continue straight into their regular schedule game.
