Pleasant Valley high school and middle school will start running a late bus route beginning today. The buses will only run on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Two routes will be scheduled.
“This is something that the district was considering for a while,” said high school Principal Matthew Triolo. “It was negotiated into the new contract with First Student.”
Triolo said the hope is to eventually have a late bus route daily.
“Having the runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays for now allows the after-school clubs to schedule meetings on those days,” Triolo said.
Bus 1 is scheduled to arrive at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church on Route 115 in Saylorsburg at 5:15 p.m.; Eldred Township Municipal Building at 5:30 p.m.; Polk Township Fire Company at 5:40 p.m. and the main entrance at Pleasant Valley Estates at Scenic Drive and Kestel Drive at 5:50 p.m.
Bus 2 is scheduled to arrive at Bluegrass Lane and Toll Road at 5:10 p.m.; Route 115 and Allegheny Drive (at the Sierra View entrance parking area) at 5:25 p.m.; Mountain Crest Plaza on Route 115 in Effort at 5:35 p.m.; Chestnuthill Township Park at 5:50 p.m.
Students should confirm departure times with their building administrators.
