Trinity Easter sale
he Trinity Thrift Store in Lehighton will hold an Easter sale this month during normal business hours.
The sale will be hosted on the stage of Luther Hall at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. now through March 26.Proceeds from this sale, and from all Thrift Store sales, benefit the Trinity Food Pantry located adjacent to the store.Items available include Easter and spring decorations, bunnies and chickens, baskets, plastic eggs, flowers and stuffed animals.An assortment of children's puzzles, paintings and mirrors is also on display."We've had so many Easter things that we needed to have a special sale," said Thrift Store manager Kay Patterson."We had too many things to display them all in the main store."Patterson said that while the sale is significantly smaller than their annual Christmas sale, feedback so far has been positive."Easter has always been a very important holiday for many when it comes to decorating," she said."Many people have been able to find decorations for Easter and spring at a very reasonable price."Because every item sold has been donated and the store is run by volunteers, every dollar spent will be given directly to the food pantry.The Trinity Food Pantry has had a growing need for support as the number of families using its services continues to grow."Unfortunately in Lehighton, we have so many people who are in need of support."There are many families who need the food that is given at the pantry, and the number is growing," said Patterson.To access the main entrance of the Luther Hall stage, follow the "Easter sale" signs from the Thrift Store or from the church's main entrance on Third Street.The Trinity Thrift Store is located at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton.
