Dr. Kirk and Pam Arner of Lehighton have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jessica, to Ryan Pistone, son of Dominick and Teresa Pistone of Walnutport.

The bride-to-be is a 2009 graduate of Lehighton Area High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree in chemistry in 2013 from Elizabethtown College, and a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Cedar Crest College in 2016.She is employed as a registered nurse in oncology at Geisinger Hospital.The prospective bridegroom is a 2007 graduate of Northampton High School. He is currently a part-time student at Temple University, where he is studying marketing. He is employed as a medical sales representative for Zimmer Biomet.A wedding is planned for Sept. 30 of this year.
